Located on the Kenyan Tour banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, this natural reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife.

The first thing you’ll notice on a Samburu safari is that it is worlds apart from the other parks in Kenya. It’s not particularly well-known and as a result less crowded than most Kenyan reserves.

The presence of the river however and its shady trees attracts plenty of wildlife such as the Giraffe, buffalo, waterbuck and zebra (including the endangered Grevy’s zebra) from the surrounding savannah plains trek to the water.

Large herds of elephants, Lion, leopard and cheetah also quite easy to spot, thanks in part to the lack of grass cover and around 365 species recorded and the river area particularly rewarding. Dinner and over night stay at Samburu lodge.
